Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is waxing?

Waxing is a popular hair removal method where the hair is removed from the roots for results lasting up to 4 to 6 weeks. Wax is applied to the desired area in the direction of hair growth, the skin is held taut, and the wax is quickly removed in the opposite direction. The result is silky smooth skin for weeks!

2. What are the benefits of waxing?

Waxing pulls the hair out by the root, resulting in slower regrowth! Even if have to shave every day, waxing can allow you to be smooth and hair free for 4-6 weeks.Hair grows back smoother and softer than it does after shaving, which may give the impression of thicker hair since the razor only removes hair at the skin's surface, blunting the hair shaft's ends.Waxing removes hair from the root, so you won't have the stubble that shaving will leave.

3. What is a Brazilian Wax?

A Brazilian wax completely removes all of the hair from the pubic area, including the “between the cheeks” area.

4. Does Waxing Hurt?

Everyones pain tolerance varies, but waxing is generally very well tolerated. What you can expect is a pin prick or slight tingling sensation immediately after the wax is removed lasting a few seconds. Depending on how sensitive you are, redness will last anywhere from a few minutes to several hours. 24-48 hours is pretty common.

5. How often should I wax?

Everyone is going to be a little different, but results can vary between 4-6 weeks. If you are new, expect to wax a little more frequently than if you are a regular waxer!

6. Is the wax hot?

The wax is warm, but should never be scalding hot. The temperature of the wax should always be tested prior to application. All of our formulas have a low melting point so once they reach the proper consistency, they should be a comfortable temperature.

7. Why isn't the hard wax removing my hair?

Prior to applying the wax, cleanse the area to make sure it is free of makeup, sweat, oil  or anything else that can interfere with proper adhesion of the wax to the hair. Please make sure your wax is the proper temperature. To prevent hairs being left behind after waxing, make sure the temperature on your warmer is set to the maximum setting before the wax has completely melted. If the wax has reached its maximum liquid state, reduce the temperature on your warmer to a low mid-level setting and let it cool down and bring it to a workable texture and comfortable temperature. Application of the wax is important. Make sure you are following the hair growth pattern, applying the wax in the direction of hair growth and removing in the opposite direction. There also needs to be enough pressure when applying the wax to make sure it grabs the hair. Also please remember that your hair needs to be at least 1/4" to be adequately removed. Exfoliating is very important with waxing to make sure the hair isn't being trapped under dead skin.

8. Why does my hard wax keep breaking?

There are three key causes for wax breaking during the removal process. Either the wax was applied too thinly, it was left on the skin for an excessive amount of time, or it wasn't applied properly. To stop the wax cracking during the application process, add a thicker layer of wax to the skin. Prior to removal, the hard wax should be left on the skin until it is no longer sticky to the touch, generally around 30 seconds. Onces it is no longer sticky, it is ready for removal. Leaving the wax on for an extended period of time can cause it to crack upon removal. Remember to form a lip around all edged during the application of the wax for proper removal.

9. Why is my wax gummy?

The strip applied was most likely too thick or the wax was too hot. Our hard waxes should be the consistency of honey on the applicator stick. Soft waxes should be applied as thin as possible.

10: Why is my wax stringy?

Most likely your temperature setting is too low. Our hard waxes are very flexible but should not be excessively stringy. If your wax feels to thick, stringy and isn't easy to work with simply turn up the temperature in your warmer a bit.

11: Can I heat it in the microwave or stove?

That would not be advised. Our products are made to be used with a professional wax warmer only.

12: How long does delivery usually take?

Delivery usually takes around 3-5 business days. That will depend on which shipping method you selected upon checkout. We will provide you with a tracking number for you to stay updated with the delivery.
